Pause Menu In Construct 3

Pause Menu In Construct 3

Today I’m going to show you how to implement the “Pause Menu”, which is necessary for every game. I will try to explain the other main parts of a game in the next videos. It’s true that Pause Menu is one of the fundamental parts of the games, but the construction is so easy and you can implement it, even with a low-level knowledge of the Construct 3 game engine.

If you don’t know what exactly Pause Menu is and how it works, I should say that the role of this element stands out in the games in which users lose by leaving the game or when they want to stop the game to rest or do other things. So this needs a tool to do it. Also, you can use the Pause Menu for other purposes. These may include volume change settings, music, or going back to the Home page.

The Pause Menu sections are not compulsory to use and you can use different buttons and options according to your game function. But in the standard model, we use “Resume” (or “Close”), “Home” and “Mute / unmute the sound / Music” buttons. In this video, I’ve used the mentioned buttons too.

Besides being correctly implemented in order to be user-friendly, Pause Menu must have beautiful graphics and animation that accord with your game. I also tried to use interesting graphics and animation in this video. I explain the method of animation implementation in the video as well. After watching the video, you can download the source code by clicking on the button at the end of the article.
